Tat Hong acquired Tutt Bryant in 1997. At that time, Tutt Bryant was an equipment distribution business only. In 1998 Tat Hong introduced a small fleet of crawler cranes into Tutt Bryant and this division traded at that time under the name Tat Hong Rental. The business has continued to grow and changed its name to Tutt Bryant Crane Hire in 2005.
Tutt Bryant Crane Hire is one of the largest and most modern crawler crane fleets in Australia. Over 55% of Tutt Bryant's crawler cranes are less that 8 years old and 21% are less than 3 years old. Modern equipment is generally more reliable and requires less maintenance than older equipment and accordingly is often preferred by customers.
